I was stunned when I saw what was in my hand. My hair, not just one or two strands, but almost all of it. Was this still the effect of my illness? Or was this the stage after receiving a bite and becoming a vampire—in other words, I would still experience the symptoms of my illness until the serum spread throughout my body?
Jax came over to me and confirmed whether my question about these symptoms was due to the effects of the serum or just an adjustment. I didn't know for sure. I don't even remember how long I was unconscious before finally opening my eyes after Jax bit me.
