Demosga is heavy, but one benefit of the lighter gravity on Maribi Station is that he’s not as much of a burden as he would be back on New Sarjun. Even so, by the second flight up he’s stumbling more than ever, and he slips from her grasp entirely in the stairwell. Gia curses. If any enemy comes across them now, they’re both dead.
The network seems to still be out station-wide, and beyond emergency lighting, all of the electrical system seems to be down, too. Except for the intercom, and a pleasant male voice has been talking to them on repeat, telling everyone to return to their quarters or risk detainment, as they’ll be assumed to be a member of the striking forces.
