“FOUND HER YET?” The lights clicked on as the cold steel removed itself from my personal space. No need to turn around. I’d recognized the voice. “Thought she might be here,” I replied. “But if not, I’ve a pretty good idea where she’ll be tonight.” I sat on the bed. Then I noticed the aroma in the room. The cleaning service had obviously been here since my last visit, so the dustbin had been replaced. This new aroma was something I didn’t smell regularly, but it was unmistakable. “You making coffee?” Richard moved towards the small table in the corner of the room. “Two sugars?” “Make it three,” I amended. “I haven’t had breakfast yet.” He shook his head as he handed me a steaming mug.
