A SCOTSMAN AND A DEMON walk into a bar. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Rumours billed itself as the premier live entertainment venue in its part of town. It had started off as a neighborhood bar, complete with pool tables, but had evolved into a club with multiple stages, inside and out, as well as a cozy log fire to chase away the winter blues. They went out of their way to promote great South African music and musicians, as well as the occasional international act. They’d tried the odd comedy night, but it had never taken off.
