“TRASH LIKE YOU.” AN absolute classic. I nearly didn’t notice Sheena & Suzy dancing on a table next to me while the song played. Which is a real testament to how much I enjoyed it, as their boots and stockings would normally have grabbed anyone’s attention. “Who’s your new friend?” The girls had dropped down to sit on the table, one either side of me. Sheena had acquired a bottle of Sambuca from somewhere, and offered me a swig. The liquorice taste went well with the beer I’d been drinking. I poured another tot into my bottle. “That would be Stevie,” I replied. “Close friend?” “New friend, is about as far as I’d go.” Suzy scanned the floor in front of the stage. “Might not get to be an old friend,” she nodded across the room.
