Chapter Nineteen: A Different Kind of Morning The first thing Rachel felt was the churning in her stomach. Before she could even make sense of the sunlight streaming through her bedroom window, a wave of nausea rolled over her. Eyes still half-shut, she shot upright and stumbled out of bed, heart racing as she sprinted to the bathroom. She barely made it to the toilet before she doubled over, throwing up into the bowl. Her body trembled as she leaned back against the cold tile wall, breathing heavily. Her head was spinning, a low throbbing ache pulsing at the back of her skull.
