It crawled over my skin like a breath that didn’t belong to me. I didn’t move. I didn’t even blink. The air behind my neck felt warmer than the rest of the room-too warm, like someone was standing close-close enough for their mouth to almost touch me. My shoulders tightened, but my feet stayed rooted to the floor. I told myself it was nothing. Just Air. Imagination. But my body didn’t believe that .
