The door clicked shut.. I didn’t move. I didn’t breathe. It was like my body forgot how to exist without his eyes on me. The silence felt wrong. Too big. Too empty. My heart was still racing like he was in the room. Like he was still standing in front of me, breathing the same air, staring into me, peeling me apart without lifting a finger. My legs shook first. Then my hands. Then everything.. I didn’t even know I was crying until tears hit my collarbone and slid under the strap he touched. The stop burned like he’d marked me.
