Oakley POV A jackhammer is pounding away in my skull when I peel my crusted eyes open.  I rub my temples in hopes of easing the pain, only for another shooting pain in my left eye to grab my attention instead. What the hell? Slowly, I sit up and stretch my arms behind my back before swinging my legs off my bed and stumbling to my bathroom. Once the light is flipped on, I stare open-mouthed at my reflection in the mirror. A large blue bruise has formed around my left eye. I guess the pain makes sense now.
