"Isn't that Daxton?." Alice asked herself on seeing the back view of the person walking a few footsteps away from her. She gathered courage. "Daxton?." She called with lots of uncertainty.
"Who dares to regard me by my name?." Daxton stopped on his track and turned to see who it was, his anger subdued on seeing Alice.
"Oh, Alice." He called, she chuckled.
"I saw your back view, I remembered the way you were last night, so I tried to guess who was walking in front of me and it turned out to be you." She explained with a smile.
"You are a good observant."
"People say that a lot, are you here to see the Alpha? If you are here for him, then he went out a few minutes ago. You can just come back some other time." She stated.
"She talks too much, but will be useful to accomplish my goal."
"I'm here for Aurora, I wasn't able to speak to her the way I ought to." He said, pulling a sad expression.
"Has she done something wrong to you?." Alice asked in a concerned tone.
"I came to confess how deeply I am in love with her, how much I really want to make her mine, she shunned me off instead and sent me out of her presence." He explained, his eyes were filled with pity.
"Why will she reject someone like him? He possesses all I want in a man. Should I seize this opportunity to move closer to him?."
"Are you here?." He snapped his fingers at her.
"Yes...yes, I'm just wondering why she took such action."
"Can you speak with her on my behalf?." He asked.
"Yes, I will do that, don't worry she will come looking for you." Alice assured confidently, Daxton smiled. "Thank you so much, I have a gift for you for agreeing to it." He offered, she only nodded and walked with him.
"I'm going to make her hate you more, Thanks Aurora for making things this easy." She smirked at her thoughts.
"Don't you think something might have happened between Aurora and her arrogant best friend?." Maid 1 suddenly asked as they walked in group.
"I thought about it also, she is no longer her favourite, Aurora only speaks with her briefly in a day. How I really wish this will continue." Maid 3 stated, they laughed.
"Rooting for that too, Alice always hovers over her like a child, she treats everybody like a slave even when she is one of us." The second maid said and hissed out loud.
"You are right, she is a slave and should be expected to serve as one." The third maid supported.
"Are you done?." Alice came out of the corner and grinned at them. Shock registered on their faces. "How come we didn't know she was here all along?." Maid 1 whispered and bowed her head.
"You were employed to serve and not to gossip. For saying all these things about me, a punishment awaits you, but for now you can go back to your duty posts."
They fell on their knees. "We are sorry, we were only joking, we won't dare talk bad about you. Please don't tell Aurora about it." Maid 3 pleaded. She chuckled.
"You have nothing to apologize for because I must punish you, no matter what." She said and left the scene.
"How did I go about this? I don't want to lose my job." Maid 1 thought, placing her two hands on her head.
"How the hell did they know everything going on? I need to get closer to Aurora once again before they lose their respect for me totally." Alice muttered, the pace at which she was walking increased.
She knobbed down the door handle and pushed before rushing in, Aurora turned to see who it was.
"Are you bored?." She asked her and sat on the bed.
"No I'm not, just viewing the pack from this angle. You know, this pack is beautiful and quiet. Peace reigns all over here, the people living here are generous, kind and united." Aurora complimented with a smile. Suddenly, she turned to Alice, the smile on her face disappeared.
"And if anybody tries to tamper with this pack, my family and myself then I will kill that person with my bare hands no matter who she is." Aurora spoke authoritatively, displaying how she will strangle with her hands on Alice's neck. Her frown was deep.
"Aurora." She called in a loud voice as her grip was getting tighter. Aurora released her immediately. She felt her neck and coughed out.
"This is just the beginning of your misery." Aurora thought and smirked secretly.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to do this to you." She apologized innocently.
"Shouting at her might make her send me out of this room." She thought, swallowed her anger and stood up.
"Are you okay? Is there something you are scared of? Please tell me what the problem is?." Alice persuaded out of concern.
"I had a nightmare last night which scared me but I think I'm fine now." She concluded.
"Are you sure?." Alice asked, to be sure.
"Yes I am."
"Alright, let's stroll for a while, I'm sure you will be fine after that." Alice assured, Aurora nodded in agreement.
Silence rules for the first five minutes of their stroll, Alice spoke.
"I saw Daxton here two days ago, he told me he came here because of you." She looked at her to say something.
"Yes, gosh I totally forgot about him, he is too forward and I don't like that." Aurora answered in an irritating tone to show how much she hates him.
"Now I can have him by myself alone." Alice rejoiced happily.
"I felt something was off about him, I think you should not give him the chance to gain access to you the way he does now."
"I will cut him off permanently because he is adding to my stress." Aurora complained.
"Don't worry I will make sure he stays away from you." Alice assured her, Aurora could feel how happy she was.
"She loved Daxton right from the beginning but I trusted them so much that I didn't notice, they were so perfect in their scheme that nobody knew about it." Aurora thought as they continued to walk.
