What's happening?" Aurora asked no one in particular, scoff of disbelief escaped her lips as she witnessed force fire burning almost everywhere in the pack, it was dark as most of the properties had been ruined, black thick smoke was all over the place. The once beautiful pack had been deducted to nothing.
"What have we done to earn this?" She muttered, wolves were seen attacking anyone on their way, they've wasted many lives. Before she could process everything happening, she heard a voice.
"Go bring her here" A deep masculine voice ordered on sighting the car approaching, fear gripped her immediately.
"Turn back right now." She yelled at the driver, he understood the assignment and drove off in full speed until they were out of the pack.
"Thank you." She appreciated the driver, her thought drifted to the pack after escaping the scene.
"The pack?? Mum and Dad??. No, this can't be happening. I need to go back there" She screamed with tears rolling down her cheek.
"I'm sorry Luna. We can't go back there, it is too dangerous for you and the baby. We can just go back home to inform Alpha Daxton or call him then he will know the next action to take" The driver spoke up in horror, he was not ready to lose his life.
At the suggestion of that, she shoved her hand into her purse, brought out my phone and dialled Daxton's line instantly. It was unreachable.
“He wasn’t always with his phone" She complained in a shaky tone.
"What are you waiting for? Speed up" She commanded, the driver increased the speed limits immediately. "I really hope they would not harm my parents, I can't bear to see them suffer or lose them" Tears rolled down her cheeks at the thought of that.
Aurora was the only daughter of her father, Alpha Ralph. They trained her to take over the pack after their retirement, everything she needed was provided, the plan changed when Daxton showed up to date Aurora which led to marriage, and the pack was handed over to him.
Aurora jumped out of the car immediately, it halted to a stop in the compound, she ran through the stairs with a heavy heart, the thought of her parents made her increase her speed.
She pushed the door open with a full force, entered the room and saw an unbelievable thing. She stood still, trying to make herself believe what she saw was a lie. The reality dawned on her after closing and opening her eyes.
"Alice?? Daxton?" She called their names in shock. They disengaged, Alice wrapped herself with a short towel, Daxton also wrapped his waist with a towel and they stood up holding each other's hands.
Alice has been her best friend for many years, she knew every single thing about Aurora. Daxton was her husband who became the ruler of Apex pack after getting married to Aurora.
"Can someone explain to me what is going on here?" Aurora asked, her eyes were filled with tears ready to flow freely.
"You saw it all, baby girl and you understood what you saw." Alice spoke confidently, rolling her eyes.
Aurora raised her brows in shock, she was expecting them to fall to their knees and apologize to her.
"That's Daxton, my husband," Aurora pointed at him, trying to correct Alice. Maybe she made a mistake.
They bursted into laughter. Aurora was confused for a second. "I'm correct, that's my husband" She confirmed it to herself, looking at them once again.
"You are my wife but Alice is my mate" He revealed with a smile on his face, Aurora's face became pale, she was forcing herself not to cry.
How could they do this to me?. She found her voice after a few seconds of being speechless.
"How come I never knew about it? How long have you been keeping this away from me?" Her screams erupted the room, Alice only smiled.
"The reason why you didn't notice a thing was because you trusted Alice and I too much, that really helped us tho." Daxton explained with a nonchalant expression on his face. Right there those tears rolled down her cheeks freely.
"How could they do this to me, after all I have done for them? This is not fair at all"
"Why did you do all that to me? I love you both so much that I could lay down my life for you. Alice, as an omega whose parents were killed at a young age, who was humiliated and despised, my parents and I took you in and treated you like a child, I treated you like a sister I didn't have, and you chose to do this to me? After all the love we showed to you?." Aurora narrated in tears, Alice rolled her eyes and shot her a glare. She wiped it off and continued. "How long have you been dating?."
"Three years down the lane, I know we are going to be the best couple and mates." Alice replied with pouty lips, leaned closer to Daxton for a kiss.
"We met three years ago, how did Alice appear in the story as your mate? You were all over me then, you even made Alice talk me into getting married to you. I need to know how everything happened" The more the questions popped in her mind the more confusion eloped her.
"This is the right time for you to know. I have never loved you, all the affections, love I showered you was just to make you fall in love with me to achieve my goals.
You bluntly refused my proposals, as I was at the verge of giving up, Alice and I discovered we were mates which made my work easier" Daxton paused.
We came up with plans. Firstly, we made you fall in love with me, Secondly, we earned your trust before my elder brother came back from a trip because he planned to make you his wife after returning. When he came back, you were all mine, he backed out, left the pack because he couldn't bear seeing us together.
Our main focus was to make you present me to your father as the next Alpha of your pack which you did without even asking me to.
I need to tell you that, I poisoned your father slowly until he was bedridden and no longer has the energy to govern your pack so he transferred it to me as promised, Alice and I now owned the two packs." Daxton narrated with a grin, tears rolled down freely as she was finding it hard to believe everything he had said.
"You guys did everything?" She asked weakly, and looked at them simultaneously.
"Yes [Alice answered sharply] he forgot to mention, we attacked your pack because it is now ours, you were smart enough to escape your death. The good news is that your parents are dead, no one in your lineage is alive and there is nobody in your pack to tell the story about the pack. We did a great job." Alice stated and laughed out in satisfaction.
Aurora held her chest as it beat faster than usual, within seconds she could not breathe in properly. "Helpppppp meeee." She called out, they watched her struggle with her breath, fell to the ground and finally closed her eyes.
"Let's cheer for the success of our three year plans, we did it." Alice screamed excitedly and jumped on Daxton who hugged her tightly to himself.
