"Thank goodness you are awake now." Alice said and gave out a relieved sigh. Aurora opened her eyes, sat up and looked around. "Where I'm I? What am I doing here?." She asked herself but Alice heard her. "You fell off the stairs two days ago at the house party and hit your head hard on the floor. We feared something bad might have happened to you, everybody was worried, I couldn't sleep for the fear of losing you." Alice explained excitedly, and pulled her into a hug. "But I was dead, how did I find myself here? Was it all a dream? I'm confused, what's going on here?" She questioned herself inwardly in confusion. "I really missed you." Alice said while still hugging her. Aurora snapped out of her thought and tried to play along. "Thanks for standing by me, I love you Alice." She said, Alice giggled and disengaged from the hug. "I need to relay this good news to your parents, at least they will be able to rest properly. Should I get you some food?." Alice jumped out of the bed happily. "No, I'm okay for now." Aurora answered with a forced smile. "Don't worry I will feed you with my own hand." She ran out of the room joyously. Aurora stood up, picked up her phone and checked the date. "Why can't I get an explanation for this? I can feel it is not a dream, it happened to me." "You seeked a second chance to make your wrongs right and the godmother granted your request." Aurora screamed out of fear. "Who are you?." She asked fearfully. "I am Mia, your wolf, I'm here to help you get things right this time around." She introduced herself. "But I have never had a wolf." She replied looking even more confused. She remembered her parents tried their best to make sure her wolf came out but it was discovered that she doesn't have a wolf. "godmother made me your wolf, just like your past life, don't let anybody know you have a wolf, deal?." Mia replied. "Yes, we have a deal Mia, thanks for helping me." Aurora appreciated it, and sat on the bed thinking. "Alice did all of these to us, even my unborn child wasn't spared, I must avenge for all they did to me. I will try my best to make Nico mine instead of his heartless brother." She swore, pulling a deep frown expression on her face. "Aurora walked through the corridor with Alice beside her. A maid stopped Aurora. "Luna, please I would love to have a conversation with you." She said with a bow. Alice panicked, the maid saw her when she was carrying out the task. "You can do that later, She still needs a lot of rest." Alice gave an instant reply. "It's very important Ma'am, one minute will be enough." The maid pleaded. "You are dismissed." Alice yelled at her, the maid ran off looking terrified. Aurora smiled secretly. "Why didn't I notice she was behind the accident? I shunned the maid several times in my past life but now I'm going to make her my best friend." She thought. "That maid always tries hard to make you uncomfortable, can she observe and see that you are just recovering? I feel slapping some senses into her will do us more good." Alice bursted out angrily. "You shouldn't be this angry, maybe I need to hear her out." She teased, Alice looked at her instantly with fear. "If she gets to speak with her then I'm done for. I need to convince her." "No, there is no need for that, if you think it's necessary to see her then I will do that for you. Happy now?." "Don't worry about it, she has nothing to say. Moreover, have you made all the necessary arrangements for tomorrow's party?." Aurora changed the topic in order not to raise any suspicions. "Everything is in place, you don't need to stress yourself about anything. She assured, with a big smile. Aurora nodded, they continued to walk. "Hi." Aurora greeted, the maid (Rita) bowed out of fear. "You don't have to worry about anything, Alice is not around. Let's go to my room for proper discussion." Aurora assured her, she led her into the room. "You can sit." She said after making sure the door was locked. "What did you want to tell me about? You were so serious, is it that important?." She asked her in a calm tone. Rita stood up instantly. "I'm sorry ma'am, I... wasn't serious about what I said, it was all jokes." She replied and laughed awkwardly. "I need to force her to speak." Aurora thought for a minute. "A threat will make her spill the truth faster than you think." Mia suggested, Aurora smile at the idea. "If you are not going to speak at this instant, then I will make sure you never see the light of the day." Aurora threatened in a harsh tone and furrowed brows. Rita fell on her knees. "Have mercy on me Ma'am. The reason why you fell was because Alice spilled some oil on the stairs, she got someone to wipe it off leaving no traces behind. Please don't let her know I told you this." She explained in tears. "Alice did all of that? Or maybe you saw someone else." Aurora asked for confirmation. "I watched her doing everything." "Why were you afraid to speak up?." Aurora questioned narrowing her eyes to her's. "She always punishes me every time I try reporting to you but this time around, she made three guards beat me so hard on my back, she also promised to kill me secretly if I ever tried to speak to you. I'm sorry ma." Rita explained, weeping. Aurora opened her clothes and saw the bruises. "What? You need to get treated. This is terrible." She screamed on seeing her damaged back. "I can take care of it Ma'am." Rita replied, a knock caught their attention. "Who is there?." Aurora asked, expecting a response. "It's Alice." The tiny voice pierced through their ears. "Please do something Ma'am, I don't want her to see me here, please." Rita pleaded with tears rolling down her cheek, immediately sweat began to gag up around her temple. "What should I do? I can't let Alice kill her. I need to come up with a solution, but would that be?." She looked at Rita who was still pleading.
