Distanced

A few months go by they continue to meet,

Each time they feel closer but won't admit defeat,

Then they work and they distance, maybe too scared to get to close,

They both continue to live without each other around,

Noone really knows about the fire they have,

They talk almost daily though Snapchat but that's all,

The odd like on Insta or follow on other platforms,

There so connected on that internal level but they don't even know the basics about their day to day life,

How many brothers or sisters, cousins or friends, tell me when was your birthday again?

A while goes by where they are unable to meet and this is been the longest they have ever had to wait,

The longer it gets the harder the excuse,

'My family are staying'

'I'm looking for my own place'

'I'm not very well'

'I'm out with my friends'

Internally they long to be in each others arms but again life shows up and f***s with all their plans,

They arrange and cancel and promise to meet as soon as possible, they must admit defeat,

This can't continue it's been to long,

'We need to be together again'
