"Thea, guess who's finally losing it?" Blair's weekly calls always came with the latest gossip from back home. I was taking inventory of our medical supplies, my phone tucked between my shoulder and ear. "I'll pass." "Oh, come on! You have zero curiosity." She sounded way too entertained. "I ran into Emily in the mall today. When she tried to pay, her card got declined. Everyone around her was staring. She ended up putting everything back. Then a homeless guy grabbed her purse and started asking for money. I saw her making call after call. No one answered. People walked right past her like she didn't exist." She laughed. "She used to strut around like she owned the world because Luke always had her back. But ever since you left him, he really doesn't seem to care about her anymore."
