Luke didn't give up. He started showing up outside the hospital where I worked. Every day, the same black sedan was parked in the same spot. He'd sit behind the rolled-down window, watching me walk in and out. He never stopped me or called my name. He just watched. I acted as if he didn't exist. Not once did I turn my head. Eventually, he changed locations. Now he parked outside my apartment complex. The security guards questioned him a few times.
