Elias gripped her hips tighter, his muscles tensing beneath her as he met her pace, his own composure finally fracturing under the intensity of the connection. The morning light was getting brighter, but the world outside the bedroom door didn't exist. There was only the heat, the movement, and the way they seemed to fit together perfectly. Elias let out a low, rough growl, his patience snapping under the sweet torture of Maya’s movements. His large hands, which had been resting on her waist, suddenly slid down to her thighs, his grip firm and possessive. With a sudden, powerful surge of his core, he didn't just meet her pace—he took over it. The Shift in Power He didn't flip her back over; instead, he stayed beneath her but dictated the depth and speed of every motion. His fingers dug into the soft skin of her hips, pulling her down hard against him as he arched his back, forcing a sharp, surprised gasp from Maya’s throat. His hands moved from her hips to her lower back, pressing her chest flush against his so he could look directly into her blown-out pupils. The rhythmic thud of the headboard against the wall synchronized with his heavy, jagged breathing. "Look at me, Maya," he rasped, his voice vibrating through both their chests.
