“Matt, you’re going to have to let someone else hold her eventually,” Taylor said from
the bed.
After Genesis had her bath and first feeding, I took her and have been selfishly hogging her for the past hour and a half. Alaia, Morgan, and the crew had left the room to give us and our parents time alone with the baby—time I wasn’t ready to share.
“Maybe, but eventually doesn’t have to be right now. Plus, she’s comfortable and happy with me.”
“How do you know she won’t be comfortable with anyone else? Like our mothers?”
I pulled my eyes from the baby’s sleeping face to see both Nancy and my mom staring daggers at me.
“Fine. Ten minutes, then I want her back,” I said while gently placing Genesis in Nancy’s arms.
