Kate coughed, “I bet to take my leave,” she bowed to Alec and headed for the door. “Thank you very much, Kate, you have been too kind.” He handed her a ward of cash before she left. I smiled lightly and took a seat. He sat opposite me, and we commenced the lunch date. It was hours of conversation. The air filled with laughter and heart-lifting moments.
