“That’s enough!” Lucien roared in the courtroom, ending the back-and-forth between Ivy and me.
We had been brought in here after being attended to by the medical team. I stood unremorseful and proud. I did not leave the fight uninjured, but it was nothing compared to the awful marks Ivy would carry for the rest of her life, and that was more than enough compensation for me.
