CORRIGAN'S POV Lucien led us to where to warriors of the pack had camped. Kate led Eve aside upon our arrival, while Josh got acquainted with the rest of the warriors. I stood behind Lucien, as he watched the woods. “Lucien, I…” I tried to hold his arm. I thought an apology was in order. Lucien shrugged, avoiding my grip. “I know you are upset,” I continued, “Kate and two warriors would take you back to the pack house,” Lucien said, maintaining a straight face, and avoiding eye contact. “Lucien, please…” I begged for the audience, as he walked to the rest of the camp, in preparation for the battle. I broke into tears. I couldn't take his right to be upset, but I wished he would at least hear me out. All I have ever wanted was for Lucien to hear me, hear my heart even when I wasn't
