Chapter 3

I watched him from the corner of my eyes as he drove. His expression remained unreadable, his eyes fixed firmly on the road. The car rolled into the driveway, kicking up small stones as it came to a stop. "Thanks for defending me," I said, opening the car door and stepping out into the cool night air. He followed suit, closing his door with a decisive click. "It was nothing," Lucien replied, his tone calm and composed. "You could've gotten hurt," I protested, a hint of worry in my voice. Lucien chuckled softly, a low, melodic sound that sent a shiver down my spine. "That's almost an insult, Corrigan." I bit my lip, unable to meet his intense gaze. "Thanks for tonight." As he drove away, I couldn't help but watch his retreating figure, my heart aching with an inexplicable longing. I had missed him, more than I cared to admit. I had missed the connection we once shared. Once inside, I let out a sigh and locked the window, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. It was as if the past had come rushing back into my life, and I had no idea how to deal with it. As if on cue, Lucien appeared in my room, standing beside the window. My breath caught in my throat, and I could hardly believe my eyes. "Lucien?" I whispered, my voice trembling with shock. "I came back," he said, his gaze fixed on me with a quiet intensity that left me breathless. "Why?" I managed to ask, my mind racing. He took a step closer, closing the gap between us. His presence was overwhelming, and I felt like I was drowning in his gray eyes. "I felt it, Corrigan," he said, his voice a low, husky whisper. "That connection between us. If you don't feel it too, I'll climb right out that window, and we'll never see each other again. So I came to ask, did you feel it too?" I stared into his eyes, unable to form words. His lips crashed onto mine, a passionate, fiery kiss that ignited a fierce desire within me. Heat surged through my body, and I felt my wolf, Crystal, stirring. "Do you?" Lucien whispered against my lips, his voice a seductive promise. I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest. It was a desire I could no longer deny. He lifted me effortlessly, and I wrapped my legs around his waist, lost in the intoxicating kiss. Lucien broke the kiss only to undo my robe's belt, allowing the lapels to fall open. His hands cupped my breasts, and I gasped as he bit my lip. He laid me gently in the center of the bed, his fingers expertly teasing and exploring. My body responded eagerly, and I moaned as he sent waves of pleasure coursing through me. The sensations were overwhelming, and I felt a newfound power within me. Lucien's kiss was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. It was passionate and intense, making me want to explore uncharted territories of desire. He picked me up and, instinctively, I wrapped my legs around his waist. With a swift motion, he undid his pants and briefs, revealing his desire. I stared at him, a mix of fear and anticipation. "That..." I began, but he chuckled, kneeling on the bed. "It'll fit perfectly," he whispered, placing open-mouthed kisses on my neck and chin. He teased my entrance, slowly entering me. The pain mingled with pleasure, and I winced. Lucien paused, his own desire evident in his eyes. He bent down to take one of my breasts into his mouth, sending shivers down my spine. I moaned as he began moving, a slow and gentle rhythm that gradually increased in intensity. As the room filled with our passionate cries, I realized that this night was only the beginning of a journey filled with passion, danger, and a love that would test the boundaries of our hearts and the strength of our souls. We experienced a third c****x, our bodies moving in perfect harmony. The intensity of our connection left us both breathless, and I could feel the bond between us growing stronger with every shared breath and stolen kiss. Lucien's lips brushed against my neck, and I knew what was coming next. He was going to mark me, to claim me as his own. I had waited for this moment, longed for it. He paused, his fangs grazing my skin, and I held my breath. I wanted to feel his mark, his claim on me, to bind us together forever. But he hesitated. "Why didn't you mark me?" I asked, confusion evident in my voice. "I want to do this the right way," Lucien said, his gaze focused on some distant point. "We'll announce our bond tomorrow and have a proper mating ceremony. How does that sound?" I nodded, a smile playing on my lips. I snuggled closer to him, reveling in the warmth and safety of his arms. "That's perfect," I whispered, contentment washing over me. The next morning, I awoke to find Lucien's side of the bed empty, as if he had never been there. The scent of our passion lingered in the air, and I couldn't help but play through the memories of the night before. The day had just begun, and our love story was only just unfolding. Little did I know that the challenges we would face and the adventures we would embark on were far from over. Our journey was just beginning, and I was eager to see where it would take us.
