I attempted to get up but was restrained by a banging headache. I held my head lightly and sat upright, leaning on the bed frame. I took a second look and realized Alec was the one beside the bed. "Here, this should help," He handed me a cup of herbs. "Thank you," I said, under my breath. "What happened?" He inquired with genuine concern. "I missed a step. How long have I been unconscious?"
