In search of Hitler's diaryLooking through twelve cracks in the crypt floor, indicated in Fra Pasquale's map, one should have seen a lectern with a book on it, which the friar was certain was Hitler's diary, but there was no trace of these openings. Santini's group had traveled the route that, from the room of the twelve priests, led to the crypt several times, but there was nothing at all. Everything ended there and there was nowhere else to go. The crypt seemed to be the lowest part of the entire tower, beyond which you could not proceed.
