MILAN “Do you think he’s still in here?” I muttered as Ragnar and I slowly made our way through the tunnels and he set his mouth in a hard line before moving his head sideways - his way of saying he wasn’t sure - so I faced forward again. It was eerily quiet in here and the only thing I could hear were our breaths, footsteps and water dripping from somewhere I couldn’t see. If the attacker was actually still here, there was no way he was escaping because we had a couple of guards with us and guards at the beginning and maybe already at the end of the tunnels in case things went south.
