CHAPTER- 4

Anu unaware of the fact about veer’s climbing was having a gala time with her friends and relatives. Here veer’s friends were trying to call her to warn her and make her understand.

Fortunately, her one friend indicated her towards the phone and she excused herself to attend the call. And say it a coincidence or luck she went to that balcony only from where veer was about to enter and below which his friends are waiting.

She picked the call but a sight caught her breathe in throat. Her eyes as wide as saucer, mouth agape and phone stick to her ear. She was completely baffled by his antics. She somewhat knew how crazy veer was but she didn’t knew to what extent and now it is proved. She hurriedly cut the call and shut the balcony door and pulled the curtains so that no one could see them. With a loudly beating heart She helped veer to come up to the balcony too.

His friends sighed in relief when they saw veer landed safely. They saw Anu scrutinizing veer so prayed that somehow god snatched her smelling sense so that she could not realise the state of veer being drunk slightly.

But all hopes went to drain when they saw the blazing eyes of Anu. She knew that veer consumed alcohol to cope up with the frustration. She felt bad . She blamed herself for his condition. If she could make out some time for him then he wouldn’t have taken alcohol.

She made him stand properly and stared at his face . By now all the friends down there have gone to a distant place to give them privacy. Not that anyone could see because its the backside of the house. And its dark only the faint light from the lightings of the pandal adorned the balcony.

Here veer is in his own world. A pure serene smile adorned his lips. He couldn’t take his eyes off from her face. In her night suit and no caked up face she looked like an angel...HIS ANGEL . HE brought a finger up and touched her forehead then went up to her nose then slowly to her lips to chin. She close her eyes feeling his beautiful yet innocent touch. He very slowly kept his palm on her cheek and brought her face close to his a but down so that his lips could touch her forehead. He pecked there and remained in that position there for sometime. Both had their eyes closed. And a content smile on their lips. He sighed and kept their foreheads touched not wanting to loose the skin contact too early. For him they day now got completed in a blissful manner since he got to see his angel’s face . He opened his eyes which was glistening with some unshed tears.. He himself don’t know why he is feeling this!!why his heart always yearned for her!!! There are many girls who are ready to be his girlfriend but he don’t pay any heed to them. For him his angel was one and only. Whenever he didn’t get to see her face his mood become soured. But a glimpse of her and his day shines brightly. That day’s case was one like that. He didint get to see her face cause everyone was busy preparing for puja and then there is a party in her house.. he don’t know what to name his feelings for but he his content with whatever it was..

As for Anu after his soothing kiss on her forehead she felt all her tiredness washed away. She felt a new found energy in her. Just like veer she also don’t know anything about her feelings. But one thing is sure for her she never ever want to let this feelings go away. With veer in his arms like this away from everyone’s eyes she was in heaven. She felt content.

But there moment got broken cause Anu pushed veer away in anger . Anger because veer knowing the consequences took the risk just to meet her. Ohh!!! In that moment she felt to smack her best friend for his stupidity. But alas cant!! She started to scold veer for his reckless behaviour but he just shook his head and smiled at her worried state. Being fed up of her scolding he kept a finger on her lips to shhhushhh her. and just like that our anu’s scolding came to a halt.

They kept looking at each other, veer slowly remove his finger from her lips and came close to her ear , breathed out and ohh so ever slowly said “ If I want to see my best friend my angel , then no in this world could ever stop me , not even her scolding’s” . With that said he kissed below her ear, detached himself from her and carefully got down from the pipe and went away with his friends.

And there Anu was in a complete state of shock. She didn’t even realise when he got down and how. Her trance got broken when her friends shouted for her to come back already.

She came to reality from her dream world and slowly got out of the balcony with a pink blush on her face.

Later she got involved in the bantering’s with her cousins and friends. Later somewhere in the middle of the night when she was about to sleep, her phone beeped with veer’s message reminding her about the next day’s function and their performance and how well they would do together. They bid good night to each other and slept peacefully eagerly waiting for tomorrow.
