CHAPTER- 6

     ...(After few years when veer was in his first year of college and anu in her last year of school in the month – December)....

( Veer was 20 years old and Anu was 18 years old)

Everyone knows that December means Christmas then comes new year . Same was the case for those two giddy souls – Anu and veer. Along with their friends they decided they will spent the night in one of their elder brother’s house . Only the youngsters and no elders are allowed there.

All of them spent their mornings with their respective family enjoying their time. When the evening approaches all went to prepare for their night out. Both anu and veer are feeling extra giddy cause this will be their first night out together alone away from house with their friends.

Slowly the time came and all were set to go. First they decided to go for sightseeing near palk street. ( Palk street is a place in Kolkata where the whole street was decorated wonderfully during Christmas) . And then they will be spending their remaining night at a brother’s house where they will be having their dinner which they parceled with them from a restaurant.

With all the friends veer and Anu were roaming in the streets looking everywhere seeing the decoration with lights. Their friends are ahead of them and they were walking leisurely roaming around. Sometimes veer’s hand brushed over her hand or sometimes he use to touch her waist from back so as to keep her a bit too close. Though no one can notice them still anu feels so shy . They were taking their sweet time to see everything around with eyes filled with amusement. They were clicking pictures capturing their sweet moments in a camera. Posing for different pictures. Since it was getting late they had to left that place disheartenedly . They went to a nearby restaurant and get parcels for food. Veer was helping more like ordering Anu what she should eat for dinner since she is not used to outside food much. With that all of them left for veer’s brother place Abhimanyu ( whose house they decided to stay at night) .

They finally arrived at Abhi’s house. ( Abhimanyu was veer’s cousin . In short they call him Abhi ) . They arrived around 10 p.m. at night. All freshened up and had their dinner which is biriyani. They were bickering and having fun. Boys bought some secret stuff too without the knowledge of the girls. So they secretly bought few bottles of vodka and beer. But that didn’t go unnoticed by veer and since he knew already how much of a prankster his friends are he is keeping a keen check on Anu. Whenever someone offered her something to drink he jumped forward to take the glass and have a taste of it , then pass it to Anu. Anu though felt a bit embarrassed but nonetheless kept quite as she knew that veer was just helping her to avoid unnecessary situation.

But as it is said that if there is something bad going to happen it will happen at any cost. So unknowingly , when veer excused himself to go to washroom Anu sipped one of the drinks mistaking it for soft drink. And ladies and gentlemen that’s where the fun begins...

Anu after consuming one drink went for other two and quite funnily her behaviour changes. She was slurring , her surroundings were blurred , her steps were uneven . Veer who just arrived from washroom fumed after seeing the scene unfolds in front of him. He with thunderous step came towards Anu and kept her in balance by holding her waist. Her she was giggling and poking his face to get rid of that frown. But on the other hand their friends are gulping hard by seeing the murderous expression on veer’s face.

Veer by giving his friends a hard stare took Anu from their to the nearby washroom. There he made her stand and washed her face. And somehow made her vomit. But she being not in her senses is giggling throughout. The task is difficult because one is sober and the other is under the effect of alcohol. Anu somehow managed to turn the shower on and there they are standing under the shower in the cold night . Water hitting their faces , drenching their clothes but they seemed not to mind. They were in their own bubble. But due to some noise outside veer came to his senses and hurriedly turn the shower off. He managed to get Anu to one of the rooms where he asked her to change till that time Anu too was sobered up a bit. Veer left Anu there and went to finish his unfinished business i.e. to scold his friends for their reckless behaviour.

Here Anu while changing her clothes was reminiscing the whole day, a cute blush was intact on her face. She could feel veer’s touch on her waist, on her cheek on her hands. She couldn’t control the smile which was threatening to come to her face. After changing into something comfy she went to the terrace to see the awaiting fire crackers in the night sky since next year was NEW YEAR – a new journey for them. All over the world are celebrating .

Veer after giving a good bashing to his friends went to search for his anu. Seeing that she was not in her room ,he went to the terrace and found her standing there watching the sky wrapping a shawl around her. The dim lights falling on her face makes her more alluring to him. He couldn’t understand his cravings for her. He always wants to keep her close to him and never let go. This feeling was there in him from childhood but it seems to increase ten folds when his puberty hit. He craves her in a different way not like those innocent touches and all. But he was afraid of her reaction. Though he has a bit of idea about her feelings too but he knew she was as confused as him , so he don’t want to frighten her by his caveman antics.

Anu sensing his presence behind her half turned around and gave him her ever so charming smile. Veer crept towards her slowly by keeping his constant gaze on her. On reaching her he kept a hand around her waist and stood behind her. Their position was like she was in front and he was behind her keeping his hand on her waist holding her there. They both were enjoying the moments together. Veer kept tightening his hold on her bit by bit. They took a deep breathe. Veer slowly brought his face towards her shoulder and kept his chin on her shoulder, giving a gentle kiss there. Suddenly they heard shouting of wishes and fire crackers bursting in the sky indicating them that new year approaches. They chuckled and veer remembering something suddenly turned Anu towards him and tilted her face upwards. Her eyes down casted , hair falling from side shielding her face from him. He so wanted to kiss her again . Its been years since their last peck. Ans so without any thought he slowly dipped down and reach her lips . She already awaiting for the moment closed her eyes and moves forward. Their lips meet in the middle ever so slowly. As their lips touched they felt sparks everywhere in their body. For few seconds they kept their lips touched. Then slowly he opened his mouth to take her upper lips. Slowly he sucked her upper lips. Being new to all this , she just copied his movement with his lower lips. They continue sucking their lips for few seconds . Veer , meanwhile cupped her cheeks. Her shawl on the floor. Her hands behind his back, lost in his hair, playing with them. After few more minutes veer licked her lips asking for the permission to enter into her mouth. She thought to tease him. She didn’t open up yet. Veer sensing her naughtiness glide his one hand down and pinched her waist. She gasped. And thats the que for veer to enter into her mouth. He was roaming his tounge inside every inch of her mouth. She tastes of strawberry. From now on that became his favourite smell and taste. He from now wants to taste strawberry on her mouth. He slowly massaged her tongue urging hers with his to do the same. She sometimes after started doing the same. He was slowly sucking her lips, biting, licking with his lips. And Anu being in a total bliss shut her eyes and kept a good hold on his hairs. Urging him to go more. Bringing his head more to her . She just like veer wanted to do this for a long time but being a shy girl couldn’t approach him . Suddenly veer feel wetness . He stopped kissing but kept their lips attached. He opened his eyes only to find anu silently letting her tears flow. He detached his lips from hers. Slowly brought his hands upto her face and erase the tear trail . She slowly opened her eyes. A swirl of emotions he can see in her eyes. Veer breathed a sigh of relief by sensing that her tears were not of fear , disgust. But it was more of pure bliss and satisfaction just like his.

Veer once again kissed her forehead , both eyes , cheeks , rubbed his nose with her and finally he reached his cheek . But he didn’t touch his with hers. There was a slight distance between them. Anu wanting more and being not able to control herself bend forward and kissed him. Seeing this veer slightly chuckles and continues to kiss her for a few more seconds . But that few seconds turned into few more minutes and their kiss turned from sweet caring ones to passionate urgent ones. Veer deeply sucking her petal like lips and thrusted her tongue deep inside her mouth fight with her tongue for dominance. He thought he couldn’t just get enough of her. Her toes curled by the intensity of the kiss. She moaned in the kiss . Her sweet moans turned on veer more. She thought she would have fallen down if veer didn’t held her tight in his arms. Finally they release one another when they are out of breathe. Their lips got detached but their foreheads attached. A sweet smiled adorning their face. They are breathing heavily . Anu managed to wish him happy new year and veer just smiled silently and kissed her forehead once again by wishing her.

They released themselves . Veer bent down to pick the shawl and out it on Anu. In the meanwhile all their friends went to terrace to burst crackers like other to celebrate.

Though they raised their eyebrows seeing both Anu and veer along on terrace but they shrugged it off , too busy to enjoy new year than to doubt them.

Atlast all enjoyed thoroughly and here the two kept glancing to each other. They also fly a shuttle together with a wish that their upcoming years be as it is as this one.

At night when everyone went to bed , Anu’s phone beeped with a message from veer.

The text reads-

From veer :-

This new year will be the best new year for me because I started this year with some sweet and that is your lips . Thank you for trusting me and letting me be your first to taste those juicy lips. Always know this You mean so much to me . You are my everything in my dark world. Thanks for lighting it up. Good night angel. Sweet dreams.

Your bestie veer.

After reading this a tear slipped from her eyes, she knew why she mentioned her as everything in his dark world. But she was happy because he was happy. Still her heart prick with that bestie word but she brushed it off. And slept peacefully. With a smile on her face.
