Chapter Seven
As with the previous evening, dinner conversation was once again a trifle strained between William and Celia. The main difference this time was that William was annoyed with his wife for arranging for the psychic research lot to come to the house without discussing it with him first.
Celia had contacted her husband as soon as she was off the phone with Molly but, as usual, he did not answer, so she left him a message. He eventually called back on the drive home, during which the first round of their argument ensued.
As always, for the sake of the girls, they put on a united front when he returned home and, although he was upset with her, William still managed to polish off a second helping of Celia’s shepherd’s pie.
