The police were still investigating the details. When Savanna saw the news, she thought Claire deserved that. Then, she stopped looking at it. Mary was happy because Mandel was back. She wanted Mandel to sleep next to her, but Savanna disagreed. Mary knew the disappearance of Mandel had put Savanna under the shadow of fear, so Mary did not insist. After helping Mandel take a bath, she left Savanna's room. At about ten o'clock, the doorbell of the Thompson's home rang. Mary opened the door and saw Brandon. She tried to stop him but failed. Brandon went into the house with Mandel's luggage. Mary had to take it over. Brandon glanced at the empty hall and looked upstairs. He asked Mary, "Is Mandel asleep?" Mary answered honestly, "He has just taken a shower. I don't think he's asleep yet.
