"Hey wake up! How much longer do you plan to sleep?" Autumn felt like someone was kicking her. 'I was dead, right? How can I feel someone kick me?' With much effort, Autumn opened her eyes. It was a small room with gray walls and a red carpet. 'This room looks so stupid'. She criticized the room and looked all around.

"Muwahh Autumn~ I am Program 5435! Its soo nice to meet you!" An excited voice greeted Autumn. She started looking all around but could not find anyone. 'Where's this voice coming from? Has my soul gone mad as well? And who says muwahh in their first meeting?' She had a skeptical look on her face.

"Pardon me, I forgot to tell you, you have died in your world. Your soul is currently in the void. Your soul has qualified to be a quest taker. You will take missions from people in different supernatural worlds and fulfill their wish. In return, you will get rewards and the chance to upgrade yourself. I will be your guide who will help you to go into these different worlds and answer your queries. I am a program that is especially designed to help you. Other quest takers also have their own program."

Autumn stared warily at a point on the wall. She could not comprehend what was going on. She had died, right? Wasn't she supposed to be reincarnated or be a vengeful ghost hunting for her murderer? After a few minutes, Autumn spoke "What is the benefit to me? Isn't it better for me to be reincarnated?"

"The benefit is that you can get a chance to return to your world, catch your murderer and make everything perfect. Since you died before your predestined death, you will just be a vengeful spirit who will roam the world but won't be able to do anything. Moreover, you died in a lab, so your spirit will be confined there until your actual death comes."

Autumn: ......

This seemed to be very cruel. Confined in a lab? Her soul would be bored to death. The program continued, speaking "You should not worry and focus on completing the missions. Just think of this as time pass. Rather than being a ghost who is trapped in the lab, it's better to travel to different worlds and experience things. If you succeed, you will get a chance to correct things in your world. But you should remember that you must not die in these worlds. You will get a total of ten lives."

"Are these ten lives for a single mission...?" Autumn foolishly asked. After hearing this question, Program 5345 felt like vomiting out blood even though it was just a computer program.

"I thought you had some common sense. You WON'T get that many lives for a single world obviously. If you get ten lives for a world, what's the point of having quest takers? You will have ten lives in the whole time span you will spend in this void, until you upgrade to a certain level or die in some world. The good news is that you can gain lives in these worlds. You have to look for certain stones or herbs that will increase your life count. Though these are extremely rare to come across."

Autumn wrapped her head around all of this information. It was not a bad deal for her at all. Since she will not be heading to reincarnation any time soon, it is better to complete these missions to pass time. Moreover, the program also said something about the supernatural world. "What supernatural worlds were you talking about earlier?" Autumn asked with expectation. If that is what she was thinking, then she would definitely become a quest taker.

"The world that you will go to will be about supernatural beings. I found through your brain signals that you were quite interested in these things. So, it is better to send you to these worlds to complete the missions. So do you accept to be a quest taker?"

"I accept", Autumn accepted without any delay.

"Cool, I will display a screen with your stats. These are your details, then I will send you to the mission world."

"What is this poison concoction ability? I don't know how to make any potions." Autumn was confident that she didn't know how to make potions.

"Your ability in your world was playing with chemicals. So, your ability is upgraded and you will be able to make medicines, poisons or any other things that require mixing of elements. This is to help you complete the missions. You may also learn new things in these worlds and it will be counted as your ability. The more abilities you have, the better."

Autumn was content with this. Something is better than nothing. At least she got to carry her ability in these worlds. Otherwise, she would be a complete noob.

"Since you know pretty much everything, we will go to the mission world. Remember to try not to die in these worlds, and collect treasures. They will be helpful to you in the future. Also, I will take the form of some non-living object in these worlds. What do you want me to become?"

"It should not be something big as it would be difficult to carry. You should become a bracelet. It would be much more convenient." On hearing this program 5435 felt like vomiting blood again. It was an advanced artificial intelligence that was able to jump between the worlds and this woman wanted it to take the form of a bracelet. Humans lack common sense a lot.

"Fine! As you say. I am taking you into the world of your first mission." Autumn felt like the program was not satisfied with her idea, but before she could ask, she felt like she was again pulled into the vacuum and felt like throwing up.
