The old, splintered wood is digging into my neck and wrists every time I move, so I have to stay as still as possible. My body is getting achy and weak, and I can feel Angelo’s energy fading away. After all, I didn’t consume his whole soul, so it won’t be long before my legs turn back into a tail. At least the others will have a little more time.
