Shay paced in her cabin, her heels making her more anxious than she already was. If she didn’t text Austin in the next five minutes, he’d leave for church without her. She knew. She’d tracked his schedule for months. “Don’t you ever tell him that,” she told herself, gripping her phone too tightly and making another pass toward the front door and back. Of course she wouldn’t tell him. So she was detail-oriented and extremely observant.
