She waited while Tanya regained her poise of careful control, but there’d been no mistaking the anger and frustration at what had happened. Tanya had been the one to set up a meeting that had put them in harm’s way, and it made Carla furious that it had turned out so badly. She didn’t need to glance at Chad for confirmation; she could feel him relax. There had been an absolute honesty to Tanya’s fury. Carla tossed Tanya’s handgun back to her.
