Huuuu! I managed to coax one in!
Having admitted a student successfully, Reyna heaved a sigh of relief and smiled.
Posing as an expert wasn't an easy task. If not for all the acting cool techniquesshe learned in her previous life, the chances of her succeeding today would have been next to zero.
With this student, the tragedy of being expelled from the teaching system would be averted. The burden that was weighing on Reyna all this while disappeared and she felt more relaxed.
The lingering obsession in her heart gradually dissipated.
Don't worry. Now that I'm in your body, I'll do everything you couldn't do. I'll show the world that being different doesn't mean you're useless!
The previous Reyna died due to the pain of being a failure and being useless. Her pain was so strong that it continued to linger in this world even after her death. This student was proof that she could be somebody of value, someone worthy. It fulfilled her last regrets and thus her lingering will faded. The present Reyna gained full control over this body.
Boom! Boom!
Reyna had originally thought of coaxing more students today. However, she suddenly felt a loud rumbling in her head, with ancient bells ringing.
A single spark can ignite a forest, a single word can change a soul…
Heaven hides its flame in soft vessels, even stars put on a humble cloak…
Buum!
Profound adages left Reyna feeling faint headed. In her mind, two gigantic palaces appeared. Above the entrance of the first, four words glowed brightly.
Hall of the Knowledge God!
Above the second palace, stood its name, looking even creepier.
Fane of Dark form!
Reyna walked to the Hall and reached out to open it when that loud rumbling came again. This time she blacked out.
Unbeknownst to her, a bright golden light appeared from her forehead and spread all over her body as golden ley lines covered her from head to toe.
When she finally woke up again, a whole day had passed.
What happened?Reyna sat up trying to remember yesterday's events. Yes, I remember that tremor inside my head, that's why I blacked out yesterday! With a single thought, her consciousness was standing in front of the two palaces again.
Reyna walked towards the Hall, pushed the door open and stepped inside. Towering shelves stretched endlessly across the vast hall, each packed with an unimaginable number of books. The space was so huge, she couldnt even see the far end.
What are these for?!Reyna reached out to grab a book but her hands simply went through the bookshelf like it wasn't there.
Are you playing with me, giving me a hall filled with books yet preventing me from grabbing any?! Wow this is great, I have a library in my mind but I cant read the books in it!
If I can't read them, then what are they for?! Fighting?! Will I be throwing books at people during a fight when they throw knives and axes at me?!Reyna's vision turned dark and she nearly fainted.
Sadly, her questions echoed in the room but no one was there to answer. Reyna suppressed the urge to cry.
After looking around for a bit and confirming that everything in the library was just the same… intangible, like a moon reflecting on water, she lost interest, walked out and moved towards the Fane of Dark form.
Standing at the entrance, she wondered why all this was inside her.
The owner of this body was nobody, so why was this in her body? Or could it be that this was a gift pack from the heavens as she transcended to this world?
Yeah, there were stories about reincarnated people getting gift packs, systems, an old wise counsellor, even AIs to help them out in their new world.
Could these palaces be my gift pack?Reyna pondered as she opened the door and walked into the Fane.
The interior was unlike what she expected. A vast sea of stars unfolded before her eyes, like a large milky way. At the center stood an artifact, a book floating mid air.
Grabbing the book, Reyna flipped through the pages only to discover that the words were written in another language. At least the book is real and tangible this time!.
Looking through the book, she couldn't make sense out of it. I have to visit the school library to decrypt the language used in this book!. With that thought, she put the book back and retracted her consciousness to the outside world.
On the outside, it was almost time for classes. Reyna quickly got up and dressed, readying herself for the new day.
A few minutes to the start of lectures, Elias walked into the classes.
He's an early one!Reyna nodded in approval, her choice of talent wasn't bad.
Before long, a few hours had passed, it was lunch time. Reyna dismissed the class, and prepared to go visit the library. Just as she stood up, her stomach growled. An awful reminder that she hadn't eaten anything since the previous day.
Having lunch before going to the library doesn't sound so bad She said as she rummaged through the drawer to find whatever money the previous owner kept. She managed to find a few gold coins.
Apparently the previous owner was not only depressed she was also poor. It wasn't hard to want to die when living under those circumstances.
What an awful life to live Reyna sighed as she walked towards the canteen.

Oh isn't that the person who scored last during the teachersgrading exam? The legendary Reyna Vox?! Reyna had barely started eating the food she just paid for when a sarcastic voice resounded throughout the canteen.
A young man in his early thirties walked in, accompanied by some students.
He was slightly chubby with a round face that did not have anything to do with the word handsome. He has this snicker in his face like a bully who's found his favourite kid
