Time for a Talk

I slip on a pair of black skinny jeans and my grey hoodie, i put my hair in a messy bun. I decide against makeup, im sure it will all be cried off. Just some chapstick and I head out the door. I walk down the stairs and through the pack garden. All the beautiful flowers have slowly died, winter is coming. I reach the river and lean against the tree. My mind is racing thinking how everything is going to change. I wanted it to be Daniel I really truly did, but I have to give my mate a chance. If i reject him he wont be able to rule as Alpha and the black water pack will crumble. I hear footsteps approaching, I stand up and prepare myself for the hardest decision ive ever had to make. " Daniel thank you for meeting me" I say as I turn around... there is no one there. I know I didn't imagine those footsteps. I look around expecting to find Daniel ,but he isnt here. I feel a hard crack against the back of my head " Matt"!! I scream through our mind link before I go unconscious.

Matt POV*

Im sitting in my office with my father and Alpha Derrick of the Midnight pack and Alpha Iris of the White Wind pack. Iris is 23 years old, and she still hasnt found her mate. Her father passes away last year so she had no choice but to become alpha after his death. " These rouges are different, they are ruthless and cunning, they dont care about crostimeesing our borders and entering our land. Clearly their leader has trained them to be suicidal we need to find their Leader and put an end to this". She demands. " If we can find out who their leader is we could negotiate with him and see what he wants. He is obviously after something. The other Rogues never stay in one place they are constantly on the move, but these suicidal rogues stay put why"?  Alpha Derrick replies. His comment makes me sick, how could he even consider negotiating with a rogue, although I do agree that this Rogue leader is definitely after something. "Matt" i hear Larissa scream through our mind link. Something is wrong she is in trouble. I jump to my feet and run out the door. "Are yoyou crazy you cant just run out of our meeting" my father scolds me through our link. " ill explain later" i growl. " Larissa  where are you, answer me please" I beg through our link, but I dont get a response. I bust into her room searching for her and nothing...I run to Daniels room and kick the door down. He is not there. I run outside and I catch a small bit of her scent. I follow it to the river where I see my brother sitting under a tree. I immediately tackle him and pin him down." Where the hell is she" i spit out." What are you talking about get the f**k off me you d**k". He growls." I lean in close and stare him directly in his eyes and demand " TELL ME WHERE MY MATE IS NOW"!

"Matt wait, do you smell that" Aries asks I can feel his anger becoming more powerful. "Smoke and ash" I whisper. Daniel throws me off him and starts smelling the air. "ROGUES" he says to me."Matt she asked me to meet her here so we can talk, ive been here for 10 minutes waiting for her". I can tell he is telling the truth. " Gather our warriors and set up a perimeter, I want every single person searching for her, nobody rests until we find her" I tell Daniel through our link. I feel Aries take full control, my bones crack replacing my body is a tall black wolf with silver streaks. Im easily 1 foot taller then any other male wolf in my pack and a definite threat to any one who stands between me and my mate. I take a deep breath in and catch a faint scent of smoke, its fading fast so I need to hurry, I follow the trail and tell Daniel to keep his link open so I can give directions where im heading. Im coming Larissa, just please be ok i cant lose you. " we will get her back" aries tries his best to calm me.
