Michael walked alone on the quiet street; it was nighttime, and he was refusing to go home. Gary and Fish followed him in silence until he stopped and turned to look at them. "Leave me alone." "But young boss—" Gary tried to protest, and Michael looked at him. "Leave me alone!" he yelled and stormed off. Fish wanted to go after him, but Gary stopped him with a shake of his head. Michael kept running. It felt as if the breeze brushing his face would brush his heart too, and he was afraid that if he stopped, all his pains would return a thousandfold. So, he kept running, trying to clear his mind of the scene he had just witnessed.
