Chapter 30
Sasha saw the pain in his eyes and heard the pain in his voice and, for the moment, was left speechless. She let out a deep sigh and closed her eyes.
"Craig is a friend," Michael scoffed, clearly not believing her.
"Really? And you're here defying your husband for just a friend?"
"He's not just a friend." Michael opened his mouth to respond, but no words came out; he felt as though his heart shattered into a thousand pieces. When would she defend him? When would she put him above everything to fight for him like she's doing now for that Craig? He looked away from her to hide the pain in his eyes.
"Do you have feelings for him?" he asked in a whisper. Sasha thought about her words before and cursed, letting out a deep sigh.
"He's just a friend."
"Really? You just said he'
