Sasha drove through the streets without having a destination in mind. She found herself at the beach, got out of her car, and walked the rest of the way there. She stood at the shore and looked out at the horizon, unable to believe she walked away just because he called her by her name. Well, she couldn’t blame herself—his gentle side, the sweetness in his voice when he says her name, the way he acts like he doesn't want to upset her, it’s all tugging at her heartstrings. If he keeps this up, it would be hard for her to leave when the time comes. She didn't want anything giving her second thoughts when the time came to leave.
