Chapter 13 “Mayor Copeland will see you now,” the Mayor’s receptionist said. She said it without the slightest hint of warmth, but showed Marcus back to the room all the same. “Appreciate it,” he said, nodding at her and walking into the open room. He’d never been in Mayor Copeland’s office before, and looking around and taking everything in, he hoped he would never have to again.
