The week flew by and before long, we, all four of us, stood at the arrivals gate as the passengers deplaned. I knew, before anyone even spoke, who the Edmond parents were. A very beautiful couple stood out in the crowd, much like my Brett and Mike’s Randy. At the gate there were hugs and handshakes. Paula looked first at Mike, then me, and smiled broadly. “These are most certainly fine specimens for my boys, if I ever saw them. I can’t wait to get to know them better.” She was speaking to her husband, who had already done the fatherly handshake thing. Get to know them as in rearranging their lives, seemed to be what I was reading on Brett’s face. The same look was on Randy’s face. I guessed these guys really knew their mother.
