Nakhapadman returned to the city. None of the soldiers were asked to accompany him. But, there was someone following him. Outside the city limits, Nakhapadman took a different route. And then he stopped. Another horse stepped closer to him. “I knew you would come.” Nakhapadman didn’t even look back. “I thought this place would be better to meet you.” “I saw you leaving your father’s side and I guessed it would be of importance. Besides, I can’t let the prince go alone without a guard.” Shimiyil replied. “It is my duty to protect you.” “I can guard myself, Shimiyil. Stop saying words of devotion.” Nakhapadman sneered. “Yet, it is my duty. That is the truth.
