The Unmated Mate

Prologue

Prologue:

Wolves are divided into five clans. First, the Hawkins, the most powerful wolf clan ever made, and the riches clan. They're like, have everything they need already. Second is the Cohen Clan, also a big-time clan, but they are mostly described as the Hawkins underdogs. Because they really are. Except for the fact that they are a really smart clan who has great ideas and inventions. The third clan is the Raven clan, most from this clan were mated to vampires, witches, wizards, and fairies, more likely, they are the most open clan into different species. Next is the Martins, they are the clan who is actually more alike to the Hawkins clan, elegant and sophisticated. But they are more low profile and more devoted to the vampires so they are more like a vampire’s underling. And lastly, the Grimfang Clan, the fighter pack that leads battles and the only pure wolf blood clan that preserves their power and loyalty to their kind. None of the clan members were mated into different species. This is why the Hawkins look down on them for not expanding their kind into the open surface.

There was peace in Moon Valley where all the wolves live. Not until the moon declares a prophesy that the Grimfang’s Alpha's daughter will be mated to a vampire and will bore the strongest hybrid in the whole wolf pack and the vampire kingdom, to lead them and rule them through his years.

The Hawkins were in rage, for their clan was known to be the clan that bears leaders and future heirs of different kinds. Which created a huge catastrophe between the Grimfangs and the Hawkins. They created a war and turn to dividing the Moon Valley and putting boundaries which also cause a lot of lives and splitting clans.

And the Moon Valley now was divided into two. The Grimmoon where the Grimfangs continue to live and the Venganza, where the Hawkins and almost half of the Cohen clan lived in a truce.

"Young master!" A vampire butler shouted to the woods where the little prince run off with his secret playmate.

"Adam, are we really going to run away? can't we just play at your place?" A little soft voice whispered to the young prince who is carrying a little girl on his back.

The little prince looked at the cute little girl who looks so confused. And made sure that his royal butler is gone far from them before he answered.

"We've played all the games in the palace. I just want to have another kind of adventure." Adam the little prince said with a smirk on his face.

"But Mr. Beuwick will get worried if we run off just like that" The little girl said and went down from Adam's back.

Adam and the little girl were both up in the tree since they were hiding from Adam's royal butler.

"Psh. Don't worry about him" Adam said and sat on the tree's branch where the little girl was standing. 

"You know it's dangerous for you to just walk off the palace without a royal guard." The little girl said worriedly.

Adam scoffs and went down from the tree.

"Your starting to sound like mom" Adam teased looking at the little girl who is still up in the tree crossing her arms.

"You know I can't protect you when some bad guys try to harm you Adam" The little girl said that made Adam smile and offered his hands.

"As if they can. You know I am the strongest Hybrid ever born in the Moon Valley and the vampire kingdom. What could happen?" Adam arrogantly said that made the little girl roll her eyes at him.

"You never know Adam, you never know" The little girl said.

"Come on my Luna, let's head back to the castle. I don't want my little luna to get angry with me, do I?" Adam reaches out for the little girl that made her smile.

"We better head back now or else--" The little girl didn't finish what she was going to say when a strange wolf growl was heard. 

Adam and the little girl looked at each other knowing that danger is coming their way.

"Adam..." The little girl said out of breath, scared of what is about to happen if they won't get out of there quick.

"Let's go" Adam's eyes turned red as he grabs the little girl and carry her on his back and ran as fast as he could heading back to the castle.

Another growl was heard and this time, it was not only one growl but three growls. A whole pack of black wolves are chasing after them.

"A-Adam... I'm scared" the little girl said out of fear as she tightens her grip around Adam's shoulder. While Adam didn't respond and ran faster than he could.

Adam looks back to see who dare to threaten the prince and saw the eyes of his enemies.

"Venganzians..." Adam said when he realized who was after them.

Adam keeps running but the wolves who are chasing them are almost catching up with them. Adam might be the strongest Hybrid but he's too young the pursue his abilities and fight the Venganzians who were after them, alone.

The little girl looked behind and found out that one of the wolves is growling behind her and is trying to bite her.

"Adam!" the little girl screamed that alarmed Adam and made him jump high into a tree and kick a branch that hit the wolf behind them. Just then, another wolf jumps off them to attack but Adam just dodges him.

The wolves were too many for Adam to keep hitting and dodging them. So Adam looked around for some distraction that could buy them some time to ran further and might have the chance to finally escape. And there, Adam found a huge tree ahead of them, not so far away, and raise his right hand in the air.

"Fulgur tempestas!" Adam shouted and as a storm started and burst of lightning struck the big tree and it fell on the ground on fire, right after Adam went pass through it. And looking back, Adam saw how the Venganzians stopped.

"It worked!" the little girl gladly said.

"Now to the castle" Adam said and ran faster.

A strong rain rage through the forest and created roaring thunders that reach the castle, where the vampire and wolf elders were gathering in front of the moon ore. They were all busy reading and writing when the moon ore glows that catches all of their attention and builds up horror in their faces.

"This can't be" One of the wolves elders said looking at the ore.

"Another prophecy?" A vampire elder asked confused.

"The moon ore should only give prophecy right after the crowned prince's coronation. What is the meaning of this?!" Another wolf elder said.

"Bring the Omegas!" A wolf elder ordered and a servant went running out of the room.

The Omegas they were referring to, are the Wolves' eldest members who already lived for centuries and have experienced almost everything a wolf could have and the only ones where the moon goddess speaks through with the prophecy.

The door bang as three omegas entered the place and saw the glowing ore.

"Lucianna" One of the omegas said to the oldest member of the omegas, with his eyes wide open, looking at the glowing ore unbelievably.

"Greetings omegas" all the wolf and vampire elders greeted the omegas as the three went closer to the ore no even response got them.

"Magnifico" Leonardo said, one of the Omegas.

"What is the meaning of this?" Lucianna asked and one of the vampire elders stood up.

"We also don't know, but this is probably a bad sign. The last prophecy was for the crowned prince's reign, and if another prophecy intervenes, the future of the crowned prince might change, much worst, into a tragedy" Vincenzo a vampire elder speaks up.

"That can't be, no one should interfere with the crowned prince's reign" Hilda also a vampire elder said.

"It could harm not only us but might also the other species" Franco said, a wolf elder.

And everyone's eyes in the room fell on Lucainna, who is starting earnly at the glowing ore.

"Lucianna?" Hilda called out for her.

"Put yourselves at ease, the moon goddess is about to answer your weary" Lucianna said and the light from the moon ore glows brighter, that almost blinded everyone and possessed Lucianna who change her form into a beautiful image of the moon goddess and no trace of Lucianna's old body was seen.

"Moon Goddess" Everyone greeted the moon goddess with a bow.

 "You're grace, why did you come so soon?" One of the wolf's elders asked still lowering his head.

"Rafael! that is not how we great her highness" Hilda said.

"I too was not expecting my early return." The moon goddess replied.

"But another prophecy was born and we must pursue it" the moon goddess said.

"But your grace, this might also be a threat to the crowned prince's reign" Rafael said that created commotion inside the quarters.

"The crowned prince reign is the biggest reign that will save both vampire and wolf kind, if it is delayed the Venganzians might wipe us out. And will also harm other species." Leonardo added that made the commotion louder.

"Silence!" the moon goddess said that made everyone stop and look at her.

The moon goddess float in the air as her eyes glow.

"The crown prince is in grave danger...." The moon goddess started. The elders fall back in shock.

"But a bitter sacrifice will be bestowed to save him." The moon goddess continued that gave out relief to the council.

"The crowned prince's mate will die" The moon goddess said and left the old Lucianna's weakened body and left everybody else with mouth wide open.

And before anybody of them could speak, a servant harshly opened the door and delivered a message that made them more horrified. 

"His royal highness is missing in the forest!" One of the guards reported that alarmed the whole council of elders.

"And the venganzians are after him" The guard added.

"Adam..." The little girl called out for Adam who just put his fingers in between her lips to make her stay quiet and looked at her in the eyes to tell her not to be afraid.

They were hiding up in the tree for Adam to rest for a while. They both know that the palace is probably looking for Adam already and is out for searching. But if they won't arrive before the Venganzians, Adam will have to fight forcibly to survive at least.

"I told you going out this far is a bad idea" the little girl said to Adam who is still catching his breath after the long run of escape.

Adam is about to talk when something moves from the bush below them as if something is trying to come out of it. The little girl held Adam tightly while Adam is getting ready for a fight. And Berwick came out from it.

They both sigh in relief after seeing Berwick all wet with a worried look on his face came out from the bush.

"Young Master!" Berwick called out. Just then, Adam and the little girl went down from the tree.

"Berwick!" Adam let go of the little girl's hands and gladly ran towards Berwick as few royal guards came out from behind him. And the little girl was left behind.

"Your highness!" Berwick's pale face finally seems to have a little color when he saw that the young prince was alright.

Some guards opened a huge umbrella and covered the young prince from the rain and some guards brought a towel to dry him up.

Adam looked back at his little playmate all soaked in the rain as he smiles at her and ordered his guards to accompany her too when a loud growl was heard again.

"Protect the Prince!" Berwick ordered so the guards surrounded Adam and forgot about the little girl.

Adam and the little girl's eyes met and Adam can clearly see how scared the little girl is as she turns around looking back where the loud growl was heard.

The black wolves that chased them earlier finally found them. Adam's eyes fell back to his little playmate.

"NO!!!!! Protect her!!!" Adam shouted but it's too late.

Adam saw how the big black wolf but the little girl's arms and throw her behind and the rest of the wolves drag her out of there. And Adam can no longer imagine what could happen next to her.

"Luna!!!!!!!" Adam screamed her name and fall to his knees. Just then, the vampire elders together with the wolf elders arrived with the king and the queen.

"Adam!" the queen ran towards Adam who is on the ground.

"Charge!" The King ordered and a battle started.

Adam's tears are flowing like water in his eyes as he stared blankly at the forest where the little girl was driven out.

"The little girl..." Hilda spoke as she looked at the open forest.

"Could she be the Prince's mate?" She continued.

"No wolf cries over a friend like the crowned prince just did right now." Lucianna said that answered Hilda's question.

"Burn those traitors!" The king shouted.

Lucianna looked at the full moon.

"It has happened"
