AN UNEXPECTED VISITOR
As he saw her off in a cab, he was beginning to feel in a more light-hearted frame of mind, relieved at the sudden turn of events. It looked as if all their immediate problems were going to be sorted out. He glanced up and down as he stood there and patted the doorway affectionately, thinking how lucky he was to find his dream girlfriend at last, and all coming about through working in the bank… with the help of that crazy friend of his who had made it all possible.
