(Helena's POV) Dinner with the family is extremely terrible. Granny keeps on making comments about my clothing while admiring Candace's cute fashion. Add the fact that mum's former suitor is also present, and he keeps on trying to flirt with her. For heaven's sake, both of them are in their late forties. Both grown-ups. But this man keeps on acting like a love-sick pup. My mum looks like she is going to throw up or something and I wanted to laugh out loud. She gave me a pleading look and that earned her a bored look from me. Even my cousin, the Barbie fanatic keeps on glaring daggers at me.
