I’ve
arranged to meet the girls at a new bar Zoe wanted to try, because it employs a
psychic. Zoe may be a lawyer and very Cartesian, but she loves to try new
things. Amy and I agreed to accompany her, but I admit, I’m not overly
enthusiastic.
As
Emily and I arrive, Amy’s getting out of Ethan’s car. I smile when I see her
linger in his arms when he opens the door for her.
“That’s
a couple in love,” Emily comments, following my gaze.
“That
is my friend, Amy, and you’re right, they’re madly in love.”
I
introduce Emily to Amy and Zoe, who’s just arrived on her motorcycle. They are
happy to meet her, and I can only hope they get along well.
