Ryke got into the apartment and immediately called out for Scarlett. She didn’t reply and his worry only increased after that. He feared that the shock of the online news would make her do something stupid.
Yet, when he got inside the living room, he found her curled on the sofa, bawling her eyes out. Ryke felt a rush of sadness at the sight of her fragile body, convulsing with her cries and shivers. It also made him enraged. He wanted to kill whoever was causing so much pain to his little lady.
