Scarlett and Ryke came back from their trip feeling rested and refreshed. They didn’t miss New York a bit and were glad to know that Operose town was going to be their new home from now on.
Ryke would have a longer drive to get to work but it didn’t bother him, as long as he got to keep his wife happy and protected.
She got a little quieter when they came back. She looked out of the window at the gray and cold view of New York and it seemed like the gloomy weather was taking a toll on her. She smiled a bit more when they finally arrived in Operose but still, she didn’t talk much.
They carried their suitcases inside the cottage house and as soon as they passed the hall :
