Quirk Reassessment: Meeting Midoriya!

I looked in my emails and saw that the school starts up next month. So, I had quite a while to prepare for this. Annie came into my room, she was looking at me and told me through my mind, "You don't know how to use your Quirk, do you?"
I responded to her, "Nope, no idea. All I know is this." I manifested my Quirk to show her.
"Wow, that's like beginner stages of our Quirk. Yikes, you really did forget everything, huh?" She said.
"We share the same Quirk? What do you mean? Does it like unify us or something?" I asked. I was genuinely confused, what did she mean?
"No, our Quirk is called, "Overdrive", it basically enhances our strength and speed." That actually sounds pretty cool, enhancing strength and speed sounds neat!
"Do you think you can teach me more about it?" I asked.
Annie looked at me with a dumbfounded look, "I can't exactly do that, your body has to go through training in order to get to those levels. We can go up to 5 gears of Overdrive." She said.
I nodded. I guess she figured that I understood and left my room. 5 gears? Couldn't we have called them something else? Maybe I should call it something else then.
"Wait, training? You can train me!" I said.
Annie, shook her head and laughed. "Well, at least you still have that determined outlook on things. Alright, we'll start tomorrow, early in the morning." Annie told me.
"How early is early in the morning?" I asked her. Annie simply just smiled, and I knew I was gonna be in for a treat.
I regret everything I said to Annie, training at 4 in the morning?! I know I'll get used to this eventually, but I didn't think we'd be up this early.
"So, quirks take tolls on people's bodies, which is why it's necessary to improve on them. So, here's what you need to do," Annie stood in front of me, with her arms spread out, "Hit me with everything you've got and as fast as you can." As fast as I can?
"Okay, here goes!" I said. I activated my quirk and went as fast as I could, but Annie was dodging everything I threw at her!
"What's wrong? Don't tell me you're slowing down already!" She was right, I was slowing down! I dashed away from her.
"Geez! I guess I wasn't going all out!" I said.
"Get ready, cause here I come!" She yelled. She darted towards me, faster than what I could've imagined. The first punch she threw I dodged, but I didn't even realize she was going for a left kick!
I went flying, but luckily, I rebounded, but she was right there before I could even make a move! What gear was this? She stopped in front of me and held her hand out. "That, was Gear 4!" I felt my face drop once she said that.
"G-Gear 4?! That was so fast! How'd you move like that? That was so unreal!" I exclaimed. She just smiled as she helped me up, we walked towards the door and there was my father.
"Oh, you two are up early! That's...Honestly surprising." My father chuckled as Annie began to speak.
"We just got finished with training. He's got a long way to go to get back to Gear 2. Luckily, he's still got control over his quirk. So at least we won't have to worry about that." Annie told him.
I looked at Annie, "Gear 2? That's where I was at? Also, could I call them "Modes" instead? I like that better." I said.
"Sure, whatever works best for you." Annie said with a chuckle.
I walked back into the house with Annie, "Hey, I've got another question. It's not about my quirk or anything, it's... Something else." I said to her as she started making breakfast for us.
"Hm? What's up?" She responded.
"Do you know what it means when you've got a warm, jittery feeling in your chest if you look at someone?" I asked her.
She slowly turned around and started smiling, "Shut up! You aren't!" She exclaimed.
"I'm not what?" I said to her confused.
"You aren't falling for that girl you saved from that robot, are you?" She asked.
I felt my cheeks turn red, "W-WHAT?! NO! I SWEAR!" I yelled.
"Oh really? Yes or no, you made eye contact with her?" Annie crossed her arms and started questioning me.
"Yes." I said.
"You got a warm feeling in your chest when you did?" She asked another question.
"Yes, that happened." I responded.
"One last question, do you constantly think about her?" I sat there and thought before I answered her question.
"Well... I guess? I think about the whole thing all the time." She ran over and gave me a bear hug.
"My little brother's in love! This is soooo cute! I can plan out so many things for you guys!" Annie squealed.
I tried to speak, "Y-You're burning... The bacon... Annie..." I managed to say.
She dropped me on the ground, "OH MY GOD!!!" She shouted and ran back over to the stove. She tried her best to fix the situation, but it didn't really go out well.
"Besides, I don't even think I'll see her again. So, what's the point of thinking about it? I doubt that's what it is, it was probably just because I used my quirk." I said as I got up from the floor.
These weeks went by like a breeze, and the next thing you know, it was time for the first day of school. I think all that training helped; I feel a lot better about my quirk. I waved goodbye to everyone and went on my way. Not going to lie, I'm pretty nervous about this, what'll this school be like? The walk there didn't take too long, maybe 4 or 5 minutes? There were a lot of people there, some blonde kid who looked a little terrifying, some bird guy, and a whole lot of interesting people. I bumped into some guy by accident.
"O-Oh my! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!" He said. The kid had green hair and looked like he was afraid of almost everything.
"Hey, it's alright, I bumped into you, it's my fault." He looked up, almost as if he was shocked by my kindness.
"Oh, t-thank you!" The kid seemed completely out of it, then again, it was the first day of school.
"Say, what's your name?" I asked him.
"I-Izuku Midoriya..." He said.
"Cool, my name is Alyx Leonidus! You wanna walk to class together? What class are you going to?" We walked inside the school. It was massive, it didn't feel like a school at all!
"I'm heading to class 1-A, what about you?" I grabbed my paper that I was given when I walked in, and looked at it.
"Oh, it looks like we're in the same class!" I said to him. As we were walking down the hallway, I seen all of the students that were here, and there were a lot of them!
"Hey, weren't you that guy that saved that one girl from that giant robot?" I heard Izuku ask me.
"Oh, yeah! That was me!" I told him. We stopped in front of the Class 1-A door and Izuku gave me a peculiar look.
