The morning sun felt warm and refreshing on Casey skin. She was currently in another place getting ready to shoot another scene. Casey was seated on a chair as the makeup artist added some finishing touches. Casey mind had managed to remove the fact that Andrew was engage to Gwen, she didn’t need distractions right now. She needed to focus and get her mind together. She needed to get right into character. It’s none of her business anyways, whoever he chooses to be with is probably who he is happy with. So she could only wish him good luck. **** Andrew just woke from his slumber, his hand touched a very soft and warm skin, it was Gwen’s. He looked to his side and saw her under the bed sheet wrapped around her, her black hair covering up most of her face. He tuck some behind her ear, he then walked into the bathroom using it to brush, shave off his beards and taking a shower. After showering, he went to his closet and wore a brown armless shirt with jeans, which was also paired with his favorite brown boots. He wore his straw hat and headed out without looking at his mirror–who needs to look at a mirror when you are a rancher. Walking down the stairs, he walked pass the kitchen, opened the back door leading to the big ranch that his father left him to tend too. It consisted of many animals from chickens to horses to cattle’s to pigs. He first started with feeding the chickens, then the other animals in ranch comes later. When his father was giving him the ranch he never thought that he was fit for the job, but due to him being the only one out of his brothers to take interest in wanting to care for the animals in his father’s ranch. Even when they read the will they agreed that he was the perfect man for the job and left the ranch and the house for him. After all his brothers are doing well in other spheres of life so getting a house or an apartment shouldn’t be to difficult for them to get. Entering the horses stable, he picked up the fork laying by the corner he went to the big stack of hay laying in the middle of the stable using the fork he feed some of the hay to the horses. As he was feeding the horses, someone entered the stable Andrew look up and saw one of his workers, his name was Peter. Peter was a teenager that works in the ranch with him during summer for a couple of hundred of dollars, apparently he said that he needs the money to save up to go to college at the city. So he offered him a job at the ranch. “Good morning Mr Andrew.” “Good morning Peter,” Andrew nodded at him. “Can you help me feed the horses I want to quickly go and handle the pigs.” “Sure thing Mr Andrew.” Andrew handed the fork to him, Peter took it from his hands, and continued from where Andrew left off. Andrew went to feed the pigs. While feeding the pigs Gwen came out to the ranch and stood beside him with a smile on her face. He looked to his side and saw Gwen he smiled back at her. “Good morning sweetie,” he would kissed her cheek but currently he was busy feeding animals and smelling funky. “Good morning babe.” Andrew observed her dressing, “are you going out?” “Yes, I want to go grocery shopping, we are running low on some things.” “Things like what?” Gwen scratched her nose, “things like eggs, milk, vegetables...” Andrew interrupted “sweetie we have all this things, I mean we literally own a ranch.” “We? Don’t you mean you? Andrew you are the one in charge of your father’s ranch not me.” Andrew sighed “i meant we, cause we are getting married soon.” “Even we do get married doesn’t mean I own the ranch or anything.” Andrew didn’t say anything after that, he just went ahead pouring food for the pigs, if there is one thing he realized when him and Gwen started living together is there is no point in engaging her in unnecessary arguments. “So I went into town the other day,” She began, “and i heard that Casey McAddams is back in town.” On hearing Casey’s name Andrew stopped what he was doing, by that time Peter had finished up with feeding the horses and had appeared by Andrew side. “I am done with feeding the horses sir. Is there any other thing I can do?” Andrew looked at Peter, then at Gwen then he turned back to Peter realizing that there isn’t much for him to do, he just said: “go feed the cows.” Peter was up and away to the cow barn, Andrew looked back at Gwen. “Where did you get the information from?” “You should know how fast it is to get information across Oricon, it’s not that much of a big town.” Gwen shrugged. “Heard she is shooting a movie. Should have known she wouldn’t have come here on her own accord. That proud little b***h,” she said the last part under her breath. It’s nothing new to know that Gwen don’t like Casey since middle school they have always been this sort of rivalry between them, well on Gwen’s side not really much on Casey side, cause Casey will just be going minding her business. When Casey was crowned the most beautiful girl at their high school Gwen went home and cut her hair short in anger and cried herself to sleep that night. She had always been bitter around Casey McAddams, always never liked the fact that guys fawned over her and that she was way more popular than her, always took first position in school while she came in second. In everything Casey does she was always second place and it pissed her off. That’s why as soon as she saw Casey and Andrew being together she wanted Andrew, not because she liked him or anything, she just wanted what Casey have. That was how deep the jealousy was. So when Casey left town she saw it as an opportunity to want to become number one in everything, but no matter what she did she was always seen as a low budget version of her. That would be enough to make anybody pissed off. But it’s been years since she last saw Casey and you would think that it was just a teenage rivalry but no, Gwen never saw it as that, it was something much more to her. “Gwen it’s been, what? Over seven years now. I would never get why you hate her so much.” Gwen gave Andrew an incredulous look, “I don’t hate her, i just feel that she is a spoilt little brat that got away with anything she wants and needs.” Andrew looked up at the sky as if waiting for something to come down and help him. Maybe he was praying for something to come down and help him, he really was. “Anyways, are you going to see her?” Gwen asked, she knows that Andrew still have feelings for her, it might not be big like the way it was when they were younger, but it was still there. “She is probably busy, since you said that she is shooting a movie so she is for sure busy with work.” Gwen felt satisfied with the answer, she didn’t want Andrew seeing Casey and reigniting that old flame that they had for each other then she would be put in the sidelines again “Ok,” she said trying to sound casual, “Well I’m off to go grocery shopping.” With that Gwen left the place before Andrew could stop her from going to the store. Andrew stood there, looking at her retreating figure and began to wonder if he should go and see Casey. The thought of going to the McAddams household cross his mind, if he goes there her family would definitely tell him where she is. But he cancelled the thought. He should probably leave her alone, it’s for the best at least.
