That dream... it felt so real. What went wrong? I was lost in thought, my mind swirling with confusion. It wasn't until Chris waved her hand in front of my face and called my name several times that I snapped out of it. "Leah, you seem really out of it," Chris asked with concern. I shook my head and replied, "Maybe I'm just being paranoid." The café filled with cheerful music as I sipped my coffee. Chris patted my shoulder, understandingly. "Relax, Leah. Even though Alec and I are just casual friends, I've never heard any rumors about him fooling around." Ironically, just as Chris finished speaking, I saw Alec walking past the café. Through the glass door, I watched him, his posture straight, his movements elegant, like a gentleman straight out of a classic novel. I was mesmerized.
