I sat in Alec's car, feeling the weight of the engagement ring he picked out for me. I couldn’t stop glancing at it, the large red diamond glittering strangely in the passing streetlights. Lost in its beauty, I didn't even realize when we got home. Alec, ever the gentleman, opened the car door for me. Once inside, I quickly changed and hopped in the shower.
